Prem trio tracking Wolves star Jones

July 11th, 2010

Bolton, Blackburn and Newcastle are keeping tabs on Wolves midfielder David Jones, according to reports in the Sunday tabloids.

The 25-year-old former Manchester United trainee put in some eye-catching performances for Wolves last season – and he has just one year left on his contract at Molineux.

Jones impressed playing in a more advanced role behind striker Kevin Doyle last season but the arrival of Steven Fletcher means Mick McCarthy could opt for a more adventurous 4-4-2 system in the new campaign.

He won an England Under-21 cap way back in 2004 when he was at Old Trafford but he never made a first-team appearance for the Red Devils.

The News of the World claims that Jones could be on the move this summer, with the Trotters, Rovers and Magpies all after his signature.
